passion behind
this organization is best reflected in the support received since its
inception.
NEA-BPD was founded in August 2001 by several family members,
consumers, and one professional. The impetus stemmed from the "New
Directions" meeting at Rockefeller University in July 2001 sponsored by
the National Institute of Mental Health and the Borderline Personality
Disorder Research Foundation.
Thanks to the family members, professionals, consumers, and researchers
who have given and continue to give their support so freely.
